Tibet “THE ROOF OF THE WORLD” had remained a forbidden land for the outsiders for most part of the last century. Lying across the Himalayan range, Tibet was traditionally headed by the spiritual rulers known as the Dalai Lamas until 1965, when the country was annexed as the a utonomous region of China. Traveling in Tibet is really a good experience for life. The capital of Tibet Lhasa is about 1000km from Kathmandu. It takes about one our flight and 2 hours drive to get in Lhasa. Lhasa is the biggest city in Tibet and Sigatche is the second biggest city. Visiting Potala Palace, Dalai Lama's summer place, the old temple Jokhang, Drephung and Sera Monastary is unbelievable.

It culminates on an arid plateau - a varitable treasure trove of architectural masterpieces - the Buddhist monasteries of Drepung, once the largest in the country The Jhokhang - a spiritual center, and the awesome palaces of the Dalai Lama - Norbulinga (the summer palace) and the Potala (the traditional seat). Ancient Barkhor Bazaar still barters the bric - a - brac, in a region that's not so much a little strange as utterly surreal.
